PackPrintPlas Philippines 2024, held from October 10-12 at the SMX Convention Center Manila, successfully brought together the top names in the packaging, printing, and plastics industries. Organized by Messe Düsseldorf Asia and Global-Link MP Events International Inc., the event provided a platform for industry professionals to explore innovative solutions and connect with key players from around the world.

The exhibition featured cutting-edge machinery and advanced packaging equipment from notable exhibitors such as Gakken, S Binding, Kelin Graphics, Ideal Mktg, Heidelberg, Spicers, Norde, Ricoh, and Copylandia. Attendees had the opportunity to witness the latest advancements in both small- and large-scale production technologies, aimed at helping businesses streamline processes and improve product development.

**Record-Breaking Attendance and Engagement**

The event attracted more than 10,000 visitors over three days, including business owners, brand managers, production specialists, and buyers. On the first day alone, over 3,000 participants filled the four halls of the SMX Convention Center to explore the latest trends and solutions in packaging and printing.

One of the key highlights of PackPrintPlas 2024 was the focus on sustainability and responsible waste management, an issue that is becoming increasingly important both locally and globally.

**Promoting Sustainability and Innovation**

The Philippine Plastics Industries Association (PPIA) and the Philippine Center for Print Excellence Foundation (PCPEF) collaborated to establish a Material Recovery Facility (MRF) area at the expo. This exhibit raised awareness about responsible recycling and showcased how paper and plastic waste can be repurposed into new products such as bags, construction materials, and even clothing.

The Packaging Institute of the Philippines (PIP) also hosted a well-attended Packaging Conference on October 11. Conference attendees, including representatives from top companies such as URC, Jollibee, and San Miguel, discussed global packaging trends and sustainable practices. The event encouraged businesses to adopt eco-friendly programs and explore solutions that address the industry’s growing demand for circularity.

**Looking Ahead: PackPrintPlas 2025**

Following the success of the 2024 event, anticipation is already building for the 31st edition of PackPrintPlas Philippines, scheduled for September 18-20, 2025, at SMX Manila. The 2025 expo promises to continue showcasing cutting-edge innovations while offering even more opportunities for networking and collaboration within the packaging, printing, and plastics industries.
