Robert Ewing, participated in the event. The discussion centered around the 2030 Water Security Strategy Forum.

Coca-Cola’s Commitment to Water Sustainability

Water, a vital component of Coca-Cola beverages, plays a crucial role in community well-being globally. The Coca-Cola Company, present in over 200 countries, acknowledges its responsibility to safeguard local water resources, particularly in regions facing water scarcity.

Coca-Cola Philippines President Tony del Rosario emphasized the company’s initiatives to reduce water usage in beverage production and promote advanced water management practices. Collaboration with government agencies, NGOs, and communities is integral to their efforts.

2030 Water Security Strategy

In a bid to accelerate water-related actions, The Coca-Cola Company launched its comprehensive 2030 Water Security Strategy. The strategy outlines key objectives, including achieving 100% circular water use across 175 global facilities, partnering to enhance the health of 60 critical watersheds worldwide, and returning 2 trillion liters of water to nature and communities between 2021 and 2030.

Recognition and Support

DENR Secretary Maria Antonia Yulo-Loyzaga and US Embassy Deputy Chief of Mission Y. Robert Ewing commended Coca-Cola’s contributions to water stewardship. Senator Grace Poe reiterated the importance of collaborative efforts in achieving a water-secure Philippines.

Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines, Inc. (CCBPI) has significantly improved water use efficiency across its 18 manufacturing plants nationwide. Through rigorous water-saving initiatives, CCBPI saved approximately 11 million cubic meters of water from 2015 to 2022.

Watershed Conservation and Community Impact

Coca-Cola Foundation Philippines, Inc. (CCFPI) focuses on nature-based solutions for watershed conservation. Partnering with WWF Philippines, they’ve positively impacted the Ipo Watershed, replenishing water, reducing CO2 emissions, and enhancing sustainable food supply.

Community Access to Clean Water

Coca-Cola Philippines, through its foundation, collaborates with over 25 partners to increase access to clean water for communities. Initiatives include partnerships with organizations like the Alternative Indigenous Development Foundation, installing ram pump projects across the country.
