The Subdivision and Housing Developers Association (SHDA), the country’s largest industry association of housing and urban developers in the Philippines, recently marked its 54th anniversary with an event at the Marquis Events Place in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. The celebration underscored SHDA’s ongoing commitment to providing safe, affordable, and sustainable housing.

With over 350 members from eight regional chapters and more than 30 affiliate members, SHDA reaffirmed  their vision and mission during the anniversary event. The anniversary celebration also gathered previous and present SHDA officers who championed the association into what it is today.

“Let us continue to work together, innovate, and strive for excellence in all that we do. Hand in hand with government agencies and private sector organizations, I am confident that with our collective efforts, we can overcome any obstacle and seize new opportunities. The future holds immense potential, and SHDA commits to continue to be a catalyst of positive change for the housing industry,” said SHDA National Chairman, Arch. Leonardo Dayao Jr. in his message.

The event brought together key figures from the country’s real estate sector, including Pag-IBIG Senior Vice President Jong Sta. Teresa, Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) Undersecretary Mario Mallari, and BOI Director Annie Raganit. Congressman Francisco “Kiko” Benitez, Chairperson of the Committee on Housing and Urban Development, was represented by Galo Glino. “Our work is far from done and the journey ahead may be challenging, but with optimism and determination, we can achieve great things. Together, we can build a brighter, more inclusive future for all Filipinos,” Atty. Manaog stated.

The event also honored Michael Gali, who received the SHDA Employee Loyalty Award for his 25 years of service to the organization. This recognition highlighted the commitment and loyalty of individuals who have contributed to SHDA’s success over the years.
